JP Architects, Ltd. recently made an investment into the future of our firm with the addition of Senior Project Architect John F. Benware, Jr. AIA, NCARB. John brings 25+ years of experience in residential architecture, commercial design and municipal / government projects. John will undertake a variety of responsibilities; including, pre-design planning, design, quality control and construction administration.


“We’re excited about adding John to our team, as he’ll provide us with the flexibility to continue to grow and manage multiple commercial and public planning projects,” said President Jose. R Pareja, AIA. “John’s extremely knowledgeable about building and zoning requirements and has a proven track-record of success — locally, nationally and globally.”


Previously Benware worked for Ghafari Associates, Torch Architecture, Famous Daves of America and Linden Group, Inc., to name a few. Benware brings to JP Architects, Ltd. a passion for moving projects from concept through completion by employing practical, yet creative, design principles to craft the best solution for clients.

Benware currently acts as Chairman for the Oak Lawn Architectural Design Review Board and was previously President of the American of Institute of Architects Eastern Illinois Chapter. A graduate of University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign, Benware has a passion for continuing education and is Education Chair for the United States Green Building Council Illinois Chapter, Greater Southwest Suburban Branch.
