Growing Chicagoland Architecture Firm Earns Member of the Year at 41^st Annual Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) Awards Banquet

 

JP Architects, Ltd. was humbled to receive HACIA's 2020 Member of the Year Award on Friday, February 14, 2020 in a celebratory banquet at Hilton Chicago.

JP Architects, Ltd. was selected (from the organizations 300+ membership) by the HACIA Board of Directors to receive the award. Pareja attributes this award to his consistent involvement on the Scholarship Committee, event attendance and support of the organizational mission.

"I have a unique story with HACIA. I was a scholarship recipient 15 years ago," said Pareja. "Now, I am on the scholarship committee and everything has come full circle. I just think being active, attending as many meetings as I can, advocating for the organization and teaching classes for HACIAU positioned JP Architects, Ltd. to stand out to the Board."

"JP Architects, Ltd. was selected as Member of the Year because Jose has shown great commitment to HACIA," said HACIA Board Member Jose Duarte. "It's always a pleasure to interact with Jose at events, committee meetings and in a professional capacity. JP Architects, Ltd. is a great representation of what we look for in a Member of the Year."

The Member of the Year Award is a culmination of JP Architects, Ltd.'s involvement in HACIA; however, Pareja intends to continue to grow his presence within the organization.

"Accepting this award is the realization of my parents' dream when bringing my sisters and I to the United States of America," Pareja said. "I plan on continuing to participate on the Scholarship Committee and as a teacher with HACIAU. I will also look for opportunities to take on leadership positions and further support HACIA's mission of working to ensure equitable participation of its constituents in the construction industry."

JP Architects, Ltd. was founded in 2015 and has since experienced 100% year-over-year growth. The firm specializes in residential design, commercial architecture and public planning projects and recently just completed a 17 school renovation for Chicago Public Schools.

"We have established our presence in Chicagoland, and now are growing into North and Central Illinois," Pareja stated.
